The Patchouli Incense Set is a handcrafted gift set made exclusively for Ten Thousand Villages in the Silence workshop in India—an artisan group where people with disabilities, especially the hearing impaired, learn sign language, craft skills and are offered employment. The set includes various patchouli incenses, a terracotta plate and a wise owl incense holder. All are arranged beautifully in a pale pink box with hinged lid and terracotta button closure.

Silence is a self–help project for artisans who are deaf or physically disabled. In a country where unemployment is high, people who are disabled rarely find work. The situation is even more difficult for women with disabilities. Silence works to help their artisans become self–sufficient and earn their living, training team members in different skills. After completing Silence’s training courses, artisans are encouraged to move into commercial housing so that new artisans can be trained. Silence artisans produce incense sticks, candles, greeting cards and jewelry. These are exported or sold locally at Silence’s retail store. Artisan benefits include a retirement fund, health and personal accident insurance, profit sharing and certification of disability to qualify for free bus transit and reduced government taxation. Ten Thousand Villages has purchased products from Silence since 1983.

Just wow, I cannot give enough praise to this product! This was a super amazing healing balm after my unfortunate dog bite. I was struggling after several weeks of wound care. Bruising was going down with the arnica but the actual bite site was not healing. It was a deep canine incision. I was going with the doctor’s advice of Polysporin, after two weeks I was getting worried. Ran into these wonderful friends up river that instantly ran home to bring me a sample for free. After a day or two I saw dramatic improvement. Now I’m buying everything they sell and gifting to friends. I love nature and learned a lot about medicinal plant qualities we have right in our very own backyard.

Got rid of the rough, scaly patch on my forearm that had been there for years. None of the other lotions or creams I have tried over the years have ever been able to do that. The dry skin on my elbows is now soft and smooth, too. I'm very pleased.

Great little incense set. I love the scent. It’s not too strong but lingers nicely after it’s burnt.
Product works great for mosquito bites. I like the convenient travel size. I’m keeping it in my car in my first aid kit.
I started using the rub on my lower front legs for cramps. After a few days of application, I’ve noticed an improvement on pain level. Product isn’t greasy. Has mellow scent and packaged well. Easy for travel.
I have only had a chance to use the sunblock twice. The first time was on the boat for 4 hours! Second time was in the pool for 3 hours. Only applied once. I love it! Don’t feel greasy and no harsh fragrance.

Tried out our first batches of the Relief Rub and Super Salve. The Relief Rub works way better than even prescription grade topicals for acute pain. I used mine on my stiff neck and it started loosening me up immediately. The pain came back about an hour and a half later (less severe) so I reapplied and it has been the quickest and most natural relief I’ve ever experienced in my life. I used to try more cannabinoid stuff because that worked the best for me but this stuff is 10x better. So far it’s top notch.
I haven’t personally used the Super Salve yet but my wife says it is way better than aquaphor and the consistency/texture is way better for her.
We are totally going to try the Safe Sunscreen after this because the quality has been proven supreme for us.
Game changer! I struggle with very dry, cracked skin and had been using Aquaphor and Vaseline regularly with minimal results. I tried the healing salve and was honestly shocked, it worked within hours! The dryness and irritation cleared completely in the first day. I am also using the relief rub on my neck and shoulders with great results and would highly recommend both of these products without hesitation.
